Similarly to what we have already seen regarding Building IDs and Floor IDs, the rest of the elements that make up our buildings also have their own unique identifier. This identifier is generated within the Situm system at the moment the element is created, enabling advanced configurations that can unambiguously reference these instances.
The set of entities for which we will learn how to retrieve their identifiers in our viewer throughout this page is as follows:
- POI IDs
- Fences IDs
POI IDs #
The process to locate this information in our viewer follows the same logic described in previous sections: accessing the element’s configuration panel. As shown in the screenshots below, within our Map Editor—under the Over Map Elements section—selecting any POI from the list will display its corresponding POI ID (886214 in the example).

Fence IDs #
In the same area of the Map Editor, you can filter the list to display geofence-type elements associated with the building. As illustrated in the screenshot, this allows you to access the details of each element.

Within this section, you will be able to view part of the ID associated with the selected map element. However, the simplest way to obtain the full identifier is to click on the section where the ID is displayed at the top. Doing so will copy the complete ID to your clipboard, enabling you to paste it into any other tool for full visibility.
