Browser compatibility #
Situm Map Viewer supports web-based usage and is accessible from a variety of common browsers and versions. Below are the recommended compatible versions for both desktop and mobile browsers:

CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework) Compatibility #
Situm Map Viewer can be run inside applications that use Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) for rendering.
- Minimum supported version: CEF 91 (released in mid-2021).
- Recommended version: For optimal performance, security, and full support of modern web standards, we recommend using a CEF version released within the last 12 months — typically corresponding to CEF 120+ (based on Chromium releases from late 2023 onwards).
Kiosk compatibility #
Kiosk hardware requirements to display Situm wayfinding and interactive maps:
- A Windows or Android machine with a touch screen.
- Software to lock in the browser (the user should not be able to open other websites / apps).
- CPU, GPU and memory equivalent to a mid-market 2025 smartphone or superior.
- Browser (to run the Map Viewer) based on the latest version of chromium-engine-based browser (Chrome, Edge, etc). See previous sections.
