The fight against gender violence in the Basque Country has introduced a new geolocation tool to prevent incidents in public buildings: the Alse Puntu Morea app.
Developed using Situm’s outdoor @ indoor geolocation platform, Alse Puntu Morea allows users in danger to trigger an alarm via their smartphones. Once activated, the alarm is automatically displayed on the security control panel managed by Alse, indicating the exact location of the incident to dispatch security personnel immediately.

The simplicity of use of the app will allow its activation to be carried out quickly and discreetly in cases where the victim of violence requests immediate assistance.
The system, already deployed in BEC (Bilbao Exhibition Center) and Osakidetza, will be progressively extended to other public buildings in the Basque Country, where Grupo Alse already has more than 1,200 security guards deployed in more than 400 premises.
In addition to this alarm, the application will have maps of the building and a guidance system with step-by-step indications that will allow the user to move quickly around the building to reach a safe destination.
