The Smart Building Relationship Management project, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU and supported by red.es and the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service within the Transformation and Resilience Plan continues to bring news which has improved our geolocation features for smartphones and more intuitive visitor guidance.
Positioning and Guidance
Progress has been made in both UX experience and integration capacity, and test with several clients.
- New Interface: The introduction of the new WYF interface offers both dynamic and static navigation, providing users with a more seamless experience.
- Plugin Releases: We’ve successfully rolled out plugins for Android, iOS, Flutter, and React Native, ensuring a wider reach and compatibility.
- Healthy Routes: On the new WYF module, now the users can select to have Healthy routes, which means that elevators will be avoided.
- Demo App: Our “Situm Maps” demo app has been shared with a select group of clients. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, indicating the app’s effectiveness and user-friendliness.
- Adjust position to route: Now, when a user is following a route, the position will stay over the line of the route, also the orientation of the marker will point directly to the route direction if the user is following the route.
- Increased compatibility with 3rd party location-engines: The Situm external position injection was previously only available with Android platforms, now it is compatible with both Android and iOS platforms.
Cartography Management
The quality and greater customisation possibilities related to the visualisation of different elements have been the focus of much of the progress in mapping management
- POI Visualization: Enhancements in Point Of Interest (POI) visualization mean clearer, more informative displays for users.
- POI Multi-Categorization: Now POI can have several categories, so the searching and filtering have more information to show relevant results.
- Map Options: We’ve added multiple visualization and configuration options for IMDF/GeoJSON maps, allowing for a more tailored user experience, and also included the option to have automatically created walls.
- Visualization Improvements: Both maps and routes have seen significant improvements in their visualization, making navigation more intuitive.
Communication and User Management
Advances has been focused in usability.
- User Experience: We’ve made strides in improving user visualization and the overall navigation experience, ensuring users find the platform both useful and easy to use.
Low-Code Analytics
The user of Situm’s solutions can now access a wider and more customized range of analytics.
- Data Management: We’ve made significant improvements in data ingestion, storage, and exploitation, ensuring more accurate and useful analytics.
- PowerBi Integration: The use of PowerBi as a No-Code analytical tool has allowed for more in-depth insights without the need for complex coding.
- Custom Reports: We’ve introduced new customized reports tailored for strategic sectors, providing more specific and actionable insights.
- Deep-Linking capabilities: New WYF module allow apps to deeplink cartography elements so now there is almost no need for code to share locations on a map through mail, messages or social network
Infrastructure
New developments have enabled us to increase the accuracy of location systems both indoors and outdoors.
- OOB Enhancements: We’ve made significant strides in detecting and handling when a user exits a building (Out Of Building – OOB). This ensures a smoother transition between indoor and outdoor navigation.
- BLE Integration: Our algorithm now works seamlessly with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), ensuring more accurate indoor positioning.
- Situm Mapping Tool: The integration of the OOB improvement in the Situm Mapping Tool validates its functionality and performance in a real-world application.
