Last Tuesday, 14th December, Situm participated in the presentation of Comport, a joint innovation project with other companies whose main objective is to create a solution that makes the activity of the industrial sector more effective thanks to technology.
Comport: Communications for Process Optimization in Real Time
This COMPORT project is a technological innovation initiative of Gaiastech, the innovation space of the Xunta de Galicia. It is also part of the Conecta Hubs 2021 program, funded by the Axencia Galega de Innovación (GAIN) and has the financial support of the European Union (co-financed by FEDER funds under the Feder Galicia 2014-2020 operational program). It also receives support from the Second Vice-Presidency and of the Department of Presidency, Justice and Sports of the Xunta de Galicia. In addition to Situm, a partnership of companies for this project: Quobis, Sixtema, Torusware and Edigal.

The objective of the COMPORT project is to generate a solution for the main players in the industrial sector to substantially reduce their production costs through enabling technologies (IIoT and AI). The solution will reduce the average time to resolve incidents and their proactive allocation.
This solution will be an industrial software platform based on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) paradigm. This platform will employ Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to optimise industrial processes, with real-time communications as a vehicle for informed and immediate decision making.
The presentation took place on 14 December at the facilities of Quobis, the project coordinator, in the Polígono da Granxa (Porriño).
