Telefonica and the Galician regional government want to promote entrepreneurship in Galicia through this initiative, which Situm was the winner in its first edition
Situm founders Adrian Canedo and Cristina Gamallo participated last August 1 at the opening of Galicia Open Future second edition in Santiago de Compostela. Both attended this year as a guests by being the promoters of the winning project of the previous edition.
Galicia Open Future is an initiative of Telefonica and the Galician Government to promote innovative entrepreneurship in the region. The program, integrated into the Spanish multinational Open Future network, offers its resources and tools for the development of 50 innovative business projects.
During the Situm intervention, Adrian and Cristina highly appreciated these initiatives that help put on the map to local entrepreneurs and promote their ideas. Both had the opportunity to attend the presentation of all participants of this year, and acknowledged the “high potential projects and the desire and enthusiasm of all those involved”.
Situm took first place in the first edition thanks to its precise indoor location and navigation system for smartphones; a technology that allows, among other things, guiding people in shopping centres and personalized marketing.
