Situm is involved in the Tracefact II project, funded by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, as well as by the European Union, as part of the 2023 call for aid established to support Innovative Business Groups with the aim of improving the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

TRACEFACT is an intersectoral project in which the AEI GALICIA DIGITAL and CLUSTER DA FUNCIÓN LOXÍSTICA DE GALICIA, and the SMEs KALEIDO LOGISTICS, INVERBIS ANALYTICS, QUOBIS NETWORKS, SREC SOLUTIONS, and SITUM TECHNOLOGIES participate.

The TRACEFACT II project focuses on the development of an innovative platform and methodology to improve the performance of industrial logistics processes. This is achieved through the aggregated traceability of key resources along the production and logistics chain, aiming to increase competitiveness in various industrial value chains. It includes the massive analysis of data, both internal and external, data interoperability to reduce information silos, and a real-time geopositioning system to optimize logistics. Additionally, the results will be validated through experiments under real conditions and with feedback from different industrial players, including customers, suppliers, and logistics distributors. Specifically, Situm is involved in the development of a geopositioning module based on Artificial Intelligence that allows the monitoring and tracking of logistics assets, in order to prevent possible incidents in logistics. The main milestones for the project’s development include the following:
- Identification of use cases in which Situm’s positioning technology and geospatial data analytics can be useful in port logistics.
- Determination of the assets (people, forklifts or other assets) for which the geolocation solution is valid.
- Generation of PowerBI panels with basic analytics and other possible KPIs.
- Proof of concept under real conditions. Thanks to this project, a result of public-private collaboration, the participating companies will be able to develop solutions more adapted to market demands.”
