TOURAL: oriented technologies for position, augmented reality and exhibitions, fairgrounds and cultural events match-making
The project carried out by Situm, Balidea and Nordesía proposes the development of a platform specifically designed for large cultural events that will allow the attendants to engage with everything that happens around, through mobile applications, allowing its guidance to points of interest and interaction with several contents using an augmented reality system.
TOURAL will also serve as a test for the Galician startup S-REC, specialized in the development of an events, activities and meetings real-time recommendations platform. Thus, the application will locate at any time those assets that may be a contact of interest for each user according to its sector of activity and the reasons of attending the event.
The proposal builds on the experience gained through smaller events like Ribadavia’s Festa da Istoria (History Festival) or SPIN 2016, the biggest event devoted to the sector of university entrepreneurship in Spain, Portugal and Latin America. TOURAL has CTAG (Spanish acronym for Centro de Automoción de Galicia -automotive technology centre of Galicia-) as an associated research center.
