Intelligent data filtering for faster information search

Indoor geolocation is a great tool for managing the staff operating in large buildings. To unlock its full potential, we have implemented a new intelligent data filter that facilitates the search for information within the geolocated data collected.

How to easily navigate through thousands of data?

Indoor geolocation users face two major challenges to efficiently manage the activities inside a building:

  • They manage work teams made up of several people. Whether they are cleaning, security, or maintenance teams, for example. These are groups of multiple people who are constantly on the move in large or very large buildings. Whether in real time or through geo-analytics, a large amount of data is obtained and can be complex to navigate.
  • It is not always a single building. There are also cases with several properties that may or may not be in the same geographical location. In addition, there will not always be a single manager, but several people who have access to the geopositioned information and will need to be coordinated.

Therefore, facilitating access to data is crucial for the proper management and coordination of activities taking place in one or more large buildings.

A clear use case is the control of security or cleaning rounds. Checking worker by worker for service compliance is inefficient, and the probability of making mistakes is high. Situm’s new upgrades make it possible to review this information in one glance, covering several workers at once.

The solution: intelligent data filtering to simplify searches

We have implemented intelligent data filtering to make this search for specific data easier and more effective among the hundreds or thousands that the indoor geolocation system collects.

In the following report forms, it is now possible to know which buildings, users and devices have data at a glance and without wasting time on those that do not, as they will be shown with a green dot and in the first positions of the list:

This filtering is also dynamic. As soon as you select a building, the rest of the filters will reload to show only those users who have data at that location.

This will not only save time when searching for users with geolocated data but will also increase efficiency by prioritizing the information of interest.
