One of our latest releases is the implementation in Situm’s platform of a new tool that allows generating better and more complete analytical reports in real-time from massive amounts of data.
Business intelligence is a term that refers to those processes that, using technology, allow us to analyse the situation of our company and guide us towards the necessary decisions.
These processes are not predetermined but will be specific to each case. For some companies, these analyses relate to the data obtained during the business processes. Others turn to data mining or reporting, the visual analysis of these inputs to draw conclusions about which steps to follow within the business strategy. For these techniques to be most effective, it is necessary to be able to obtain, manage, and analyse large amounts of data. After all, information is power.
Mass data visualization with Situm’s indoor positioning
Situm has always given an important place to the generation of information in a visually appealing way. The control panel, or dashboard, allows us to generate real-time analyses according to the business needs of each of our clients based on the input obtained through the indoor positioning system.
However, the huge amount of data sometimes put certain obstacles to the fluidity of this real-time process. The new Situm platform’s business intelligence tool provides fast analysis and massive data reporting.
What will this new tool allow for Situm users?
Both for those who consult analytics in the dashboard of our platform, as well as for those who have chosen to integrate them into their systems through our APIs, this tool will allow better and more complete results. Our customers will gain agility when solving incidents thanks to intelligent selectors and integral building reports. Consequently, this will mean an increase in efficiency by having a better knowledge of the buildings:
- Comprehensive reports on time spent in geofences. Until now, we could only see one report from one geofence. With the new tool, we will get reports of everything in the building, even the whole account.
- Data filtering by active users. The possibility of filtering by date and using selectors much easily.
- POIs and geofences on routes. In addition to routes followed by a user, you can check which Points of Interest (POIs) and geofences they have found on their way. This option can be useful for the development of geomarketing strategies.
