SPIN will take place between september the 29th and october the 1st at Ciudad de la Cultura, Santiago de Compostela
SPIN, the biggest event devoted to the sector of university entrepreneurship in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, puts at the disposal of their attendees an app which would enable them to guide him inside the event facilities, know the multiple activities and discover exhibitors more in line with their interests, among other things.
Indoor location and navigation
SPIN 2016’s official app, using the Situm Technologies’s indoor positioning and navigation innovative technology, allows the attendants to locate themselves both inside and outside of a specific building, find points of interest and establish a route to them, being guided, step by step, inside the facilities to their selected destination.
When starting the app for the first time, user will see basic information concerning to the event, and a list of themes and sector related with the occasion. That way, the visitor, through the Discover section and thanks to S-REC Solutions technology, will get personalised information about exhibitors and activities directly connected to its preferences.
All the SPIN programme activities (talks, workshops, seminars, a marketplace and networking activities) are ranked in a unique section. Through the Agenda, user can consult every programmed activities, access to its description and locate the venues where will be developed thanks to the map, creating a route from its current position. Besides this, user have the option to add this events to its own personal calendar.
Exhibitors are the other main axis on which SPIN pivoted. Through the app, user have access to all the information related to this business that participates in the event presenting their companies and making themselves known. Similarly to the activities programme, user can locate in the map the exhibitors connected to its preferences and being guided to them.
SPIN, universities and economic development
SPIN2016 is an open event with the ambition to support and boost entrepreneurship talent, strengthening the University contribution to economic and social development. SPIN is held every two years, being Madrid and City of Mexico the latest edition’s headquarters.
It features a number of talks, workshops, seminars, a marketplace and networking activities, offering a unique opportunity to share experiences, improve knowledge, and discover the newest trends and technologies born from university research that are now in the market.
Over 200 universities and investors from 20 different countries will meet more than 2000 attendants, including university students, entrepreneurs and other interested people. This edition will have more than 50 speakers, highlighting cuisine professionals like Joan Roca, Príncipe de Asturias Literature Prize Nélida Piñón and sportsmen like Cristian Toro and former soccer national manager Vicente del Bosque.
