Maps Healthcare, the business unit of Maps Group specializing in digital healthcare, has announced the release of ZeroCoda Map, a new application integrated into the ZeroCoda® portal. This innovative tool is designed to streamline patient navigation both within and around healthcare facilities.
ZeroCoda Map offers guided, optimized routes that reduce the challenges of locating and accessing key points of interest, such as counters, clinics, and departments. Available as both a simplified web version directly within the ZeroCoda portal and a native app for Android and iOS, it enables real-time tracking of the patient’s location. The system utilizes a cutting-edge navigation engine developed in partnership with Situm, a leader in indoor positioning and wayfinding for a decade.
The engine utilizes the full capabilities SWIM “Situm Wayfinding and Indoor Maps” solution, explains Gregory Botanes, Vice President & Chief Growth Officer at Situm. “By leveraging smartphone sensors and strategically placed Bluetooth beacons, it accurately detects users’ locations both indoors and in adjacent outdoor areas. This ensures seamless navigation, even in complex healthcare environments.
“ZeroCoda Map marks a significant advancement in the experience for patients, caregivers, and visitors,” says Mauro Di Maulo, Head of Innovation and Business Development, Patient Experience at Maps Healthcare. “It offers a single access point to maps of participating facilities, eliminating the need to download multiple apps and ensuring a consistent, seamless experience every time.
The application is seamlessly integrated with the MR-You® reception system, delivering a comprehensive patient experience that unifies booking, reception, and navigation. This approach enhances the overall efficiency of healthcare facilities while boosting user satisfaction.
The partnership between Maps Healthcare and Situm highlights their shared commitment to technological innovation in digital healthcare and to continuously improving the patient experience.
