Gregory Botanes, vice-president of Situm, will participate next 9th February in the online seminar hosted by the Acelera pyme Office of Ashotel, the Hotel and Extrahotel Association of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro.
Indoor geolocation is a tool already gaining ground in the hotel sector. Whether it is to offer extra services to guests and significantly improve their customer experience, or to make employee management more efficient, indoor positioning is undoubtedly the technology already renewing the sector.

Hotels 5.0: geo-services for guests and geo-management of employees
In the 5.0 hotel, digitalised processes, such as geolocation-based guest services, are of particular importance. One possible application of this technology is to guide visitors through large facilities using an app with multiple options based on geolocation: indoor search and navigation to points of interest, booking of activities and information about them, maps of the premises, etc. Situm has already implemented this solution in large resorts, such as the Grand Oasis Cancun.
In addition, employee geo-management is already a reality: to make services more efficient by avoiding duplication, to manage security with geo-positioned alerts, to create geolocated tasks, etc.
Ashotel’s Acelera SME Office has invited Gregory Botanes to talk about all this at its next seminar, and Situm’s role as a provider of the most innovative indoor geolocation technology, as well as about the accumulated experience in the hotel sector.
From Ashotel, as stated by Enrique Padrón, director of Innovation of the association, they continue to focus on innovation and development in the hotel sector with the aim of having an accommodation plant with innovative business models that allow them to improve their competitiveness. In this case, indoor geolocation allows accommodation establishments the opportunity to create value in their business through the offer of personalised services, as well as the possibility of having a tool for guiding and monitoring customers and users to improve decision-making.
The event will take place online, from 11am to 12pm, on Wednesday 9 of February. You can register through this link. Please take into account this event will take place in Spanish.
