Gregory Botanes, Vicepresident of the company, will explain in the session “Taking the passenger experience to the next level” how Situm’s indoor positioning technology is significantly helping to improve the passenger experience and team management in Europe and Latam airports.
The satisfaction of a passenger begins to settle long before they board their flight, even before they arrive at the airport. His mood and attitude at the boarding gate is determined by everything he has experienced since leaving his hotel or home to the airport.
Situm’s wayfinding and tracking solutions by smartphones are already improving the passenger experience throughout their entire journey:
- Facilitating a quick transit through all the facilities and spaces he passes through, from the moment he leaves for the airport to present at the boarding gate: Hotel, street, metro and, of course, airport. The SitumWYF module allows an easy integration of guiding functionality in apps (new or existing) of all types of venues with large influx of visitors. The module also allows the user to enjoy information about the resources that can be found in the space in which it is located.
- Improving the maintenance of facilities through which he transits, and the services provided there. The Situm MRM platform for the management of personnel and mobile resources by geolocation helps to optimise processes in areas such as security, cleaning, maintenance or services for people with reduced mobility.
- Providing exclusive advantages in shops and restaurants with geolocated marketing actions developed with geofencing tools.
- Enjoying better planned facilities and services thanks to the geoinformation obtained by their managers from the integration of geodata in their platforms through theSitum Rest APIs.
Situm allows to achieve all these benefits with highly efficient solutions thanks to a fast deployment with minimal infrastructure. This is possible thanks to Situm IPS platform core technology, an algorithm that takes advantage of WiFi and Bluetooth networks already deployed in buildings to merge the data they provide with those provided by the user’s inertial mobile phone sensors.
Gregory Botanes, Vicepresident of Situm, will speak about all these solutions and the excellent results being obtained in airports in Latin America and Europe where they have already been deployed in the “Innovation @ Amadeus: taking the passenger experience to the next level” panel of experts, in the plenary session of Amadeus Airport IT Conference 2019, on Thursday 24 October at 17:15.
