Emprende, Televisión Española’s TV show focused on emerging companies, dedicates its space this week to Situm’s location and navigation technology, an accurate indoor GPS.
For the most part, this national TV show analyses how this solution works for the problem of the lack of GPS signal indoors. In the words of Víctor Álvarez, founder and CEO, “We have built something that is like the GPS in our car but for the interior of buildings,” he explains. This accurate indoor GPS would be in our smartphones and need little to none added infrastructure to install it in a building.
Thus, we can see Situm’s technology at work in a shopping centre where we walk around while it shows us where the locations are with accuracy and speed. Besides, you can also plan a route, or to calculate the distance to the shop or restaurant we are looking for to find out the most direct way, even taking into account if we have reduced mobility.
Other examples of different buildings that are already benefiting from Situm’s technological solution are also mentioned: hospitals, airports, or large work centres, among others.
Finally, you can see the complete report about Situm’s accurate indoor GPS through our Youtube channel.
